Day 33: Universal Monster Decor

This evening, the 60 Days of Halloween is reporting from good old Ohio where Bill, McQueen and I are chilling with my parents. Originally, Bill and I were slated to go on a very festive lantern walk in Massillon. But thanks to the rain, that didn't happen. So let's explore my dad's amazing Universal Monster room--a year-round haven for all things creepy and cool.

The Creature in mid-backstroke. Black Lagoon sold separately.

The Gang's all here, even the Metaluna Mutant and King Kong!

Major devotion. Don't mind the mess in the corner. We pretend that's not there.

I love the Universal Monster snow globes. Eerie and elegant.

An autographed Young Frankenstein poster from the official touring cast!
Not exactly Universal, but very, very close!

My dad's favorite monster has always been the Creature, so the room
is slightly heavy on Black Lagoon memorabilia

Please note the Frankenstein bust in a Christmas-hating "Bah Humbug" hat

The Creature presides over a match of Universal Monster chess

A cutsie Universal-inspired pillow, courtesy of Big Lots. Really.
Cool things hide in odd places.

Gypsies in horror movies are all-knowing beings. Just ask Lon Chaney Jr.

The Bride of Frankenstein is one of my personal favorites, so I love this porcelain set

A fireless windmill AKA the very best kind of windmill

McQueen adds her two cents to the conversation. She likes
the Bride of Frankenstein too.
