Day 51: Pumpkin Carving

Today we carved pumpkins!

Please note the glass bead spiders crawling along the top.
Nothing like combining current projects with past ones.

While pumpkin carving is an obvious Halloween tradition, this is the first time we've ever actually carved a pumpkin on this blog. Sure, we've talked about pumpkins, cooked with pumpkins, told you stories about pumpkins. But we've never sat down at a table and dug a knife into the face of a pumpkin. So what are we waiting for? Let's get started!

Look! I'm already off to a promising start!

Okay, down to business! I've got to carve out this top...

Hello? Anyone in there?

Truth be told, this scowl is pretty much how I look the entire time
I'm carving a pumpkin. Eww! Pumpkin guts!

Now then, let's cut out this face! It has to be perfect, after all.

Well, maybe not perfect, but at least friendly!

A happy Halloween blogger with an equally happy pumpkin. The world is good.

Bill also carved a pumpkin, but he hid his progress from me until
the end. What a jerk. Still, put together, these two pumpkins
do pretty much describe our marriage.

So that's today's project! Join us again tomorrow! It will be Friday, which means I will likely cook up something alliterative. Folklore? Fiction? Who knows? Not me! Tune in tomorrow to find out!
